Signed contracts on scholarships for pupils and students for school/academic year 2022/23


On Saturday, December 10, 2022, in the hall of the IC Student Center in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the presence of members of the Management and Supervisory Boards, friends of the Fund, scholarship holders and the media, a ceremony was held to sign the Agreement on Scholarships for students and pupils for school/academic year 2022/23.

The attendees were addressed by Šahin Kerla, the Director of Fund ‘‘Bošnjaci’’, who spoke about the Fund's goal, mission, role, importance and achievements of the Fund, with special reference to scholarship for gifted students. So far, as he said, more than 3,000 pupils and students have received scholarships, including 130 students with an average grade of 10.00 at public higher education institutions in our country, over 330 students who have won the most prestigious university awards such as the "Golden Badge", “Gold Plaque”, “Rector's Charter”, “Dean's Charter”, etc., then more than 200 freshmen students of the generation and 18 ḥuffāẓ of the Holy Quran.

This year, 45 scholarships were awarded to students in the first and second cycle of studies, one scholarship in the third cycle of studies and 16 scholarships to high school pupils. The average grade for students is 9.15 and for pupils 4.88. Among the winners of this year's scholarships are 4 students with an average grade of 10.00 and three students of the generation. 

At the end of the address, the Director of Fund called on the scholarship holders to stay in our country after completing their education and starting a working relationship and make it as good and prosperous as possible, to work on the affirmation and improvement of Fund ‘‘Bošnjaci’’, to help it financially in accordance with their capabilities in order to ensure the continuation of this noble mission.

In addition to the Director of Fund, the attendees were addressed by Prof. dr. Enes Ljevaković, deputy Reisu-l-ulema of IC in Bosnia and Herzegovina and at the same time President of the Supervisory Board and Huso Salihović, President of the Fund's Management Board. On behalf of this year's scholarship winners, Aida Rihić, student of the first year of the second cycle of studies at the Faculty of Law in Zenica with an average grade of 10.00, winner of the "Dean's Charter" and "Rector's Charter" of the University of Zenica, addressed and thanked.

On this occasion, it was awarded Vakufnama to Prof. dr. Enes Ljevaković, the largest new Waqf of Fund ''Bošnjaci''.
