IN BUGOJNO WAS HELD XVI MEKTAB FINAL COMPETITION

The final XVI mektab competition at the level of the Riyasat of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in organization of the Religious educational service of the Riyasat of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, was held in Bugojno, in the amphitheater of the Cultural Center of Princess Jawhara, on Saturday, May 25, 2013.

The competition was held in three categories: kiraet - younger (8 competitors), kiraet - older age (8 competitors) and a test of general knowledge (8 competitors). Muftis were represented by three competitors, of which one for each category.

The final competition was preceded by competition at the level of Majlises and Muftis after which the most successful entered the finals.

The most successful competitors in the category of kiraet - younger:

• 1. Revda Hodžić, Kalesija (Muallim Enes ef. Sakić) with won 59.33 points,
• 2. Džejlana Aličić, Zavidovići (Muallim Ismir ef. Bečić) with won 55,66 points and
• 2. Rukajja Konjarić, Jablanica (Muallim Mesud ef. Ćosić) with won 55,66 points.

The most successful competitors in the category of kiraet - older age:

• 1. Anes Mulić, Tešanj (Muallim Ahmed ef. Bukvić) with won 59,00 points,
• 2. Esma Karahodža, Travnik (Muallim Aljo ef. Cikotić) with won 53,00 points and
• 3. Amina Išerić, Sarajevo (Muallim Hfz. Sadrudin ef. Išerić) with won 52,00 points.

The most successful competitors in the category of the test of general knowledge:

• 1. Ramiz Mašić, Bihać (Muallim Muhamed ef. Mašić) with won 60,00 points,
• 2. Nudžejma Parić, Sarajevo (Muallim Enver ef. Hošić) with won 55,00 points and
• 3. Ajla Adilović, Travnik (Muallim Hidajet ef. Polovina) with won 54,00 points.

The best results in the team competition achieved:

• 1. Zenica Mufti,
• 2. Sarajevo Mufti and
• 3. Tuzla Mufti.

After a unanimous decision by the Commission, which was composed of distinguished kurra hafiz dr. Dževad ef. Šošić, Chairman, members hafiz Mensur ef. Malkić and hafiz Fadil ef. Bektaš, diplomas, awards and cash prizes were presented to the best contestants by:

• 1. Dr. Amir ef. Karić,Head of the Religious educational service of the Riyasat of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina,
• 2. Bahrudin ef. Čolo, Secretary of Travnik Mufti and
• 3. Šahin Kerla, Fund ''Bošnjaci'' Director.

In addition to the Religious educational service of the Riyasat of theIslamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Cultural Center of Princess Jawhara, the Fund ''Bošnjaci'' provided cash prizes and certificates for funding in the amount of KM 1,800.00. The special cash Hedis were awarded by Director of the Cultural Centre of Princess Jawhara Shaykh Rahmetullah el-Gari to all participants of the final competition.

All participants of the competition, in which one could win a maximum of 60 points, showed an extremely high level of knowledge.

This competition has elapsed in the best order and in a very good organization with competitive spirit and a beautiful atmosphere contributed by competitors, their escorts, muftis’ representatives, organizers and hosts.

In addition to the large number of those present, the final competition was attended by the Head of the Religious educational service of the Riyasat of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina dr. Amir ef. Karićwho closed this competition by appropriate speech.
