Fund ''Bošnjaci'' awarded 86 scholarships for school/academic year 2021/22
In the premises of the Vakuf Directorate of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in compliance with the prescribed epidemiological measures, a ceremony was held to sign the Agreement on the award of 86 scholarships to pupils and students for school/academic year 2021/22.
Šahin Kerla, Director of the Fund and also the President of the Scholarship Commission, addressed the audience, emphasizing, among other things, the importance, role and significance of establishing Fund "Bošnjaci".
In the past twenty-four years, a number of activities have been realized, the most important of which is scholarships for especially gifted students. So far, 2,880 pupils and students have been awarded scholarships, of which 135 students with an average grade of 10.00 at public high education institutions in our country, 320 students winners of the most prestigious awards such as "Golden Badge", "Golden Plaque", "Charter of the Rector", "Charter of the Dean", etc., then 190 freshmen of the generation and 18 Huffaz of the Holy Qur'an.
This year, 20 scholarships were awarded to students in the second cycle of studies, 50 scholarships to students in the first cycle of studies and 16 high school students.
The average grade of the winners of student scholarships in the second cycle of studies is 9.76, and in the first cycle of studies is 9.18, while the average grade for pupils is 4.83. Among the winners of this year's scholarships are 15 male and female students with an average grade of 10.00.
At the end of the address, the Director of Fund invited the scholarship holders to, after finishing their schooling and establishing an employment relationship, stay in their country and make it as good and prosperous as possible, to work on the affirmation and improvement of Fund ''Bošnjaci'', financially help it in accordance with the possibilities in order to ensure the continuation of this noble missions.
