FUND ''BOŠNJACI'' SCHOLARSHIP HOLDERS HELD GATHERING DURING SEVERAL DAYS


Fund ''Bošnjaci'' in cooperation with Behram-begova (Engl. Behram-bay's) Madrassa in Tuzla organized a four-day education and socializing of the Fund’s scholarship holders. The gathering was held in Behram-begova Madrassa in period from 6 to 9 January this year, which was attended by 58 scholars from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Šahin Kerla, Director of Fund ''Bošnjaci'', Ahmed Hatunić, Director of Behram-begova Madrassa and Seid Eminović, a representative of the Board of Education and Science of the Riyasat of IC in B&H addressed scholarship holders at the opening of gathering.

The main objective of organizing this project was to meet, socialize, exchange ideas and experiences of Fund ''Bošnjaci'' scholarships, additional education in subjects that are not sufficiently represented in formal education, learning about the mission and character of the Fund, developing a sense of commitment to the Fund and its objectives, and developing of solidarity, friendship and cooperation between scholarship holders and introduction of a number of the most important cultural and historical attractions of Canton Tuzla.

The subject keynote speakers at campus were prominent citizens of our country such as: Academician Osman Sinanović, a professor at the Medical School of University of Tuzla, PhD. Ferid Konjić, a surgeon at the University Clinical Center in Tuzla, prof. dr. Amira Turbić-Hadžagić, professor at the Faculty of Philosophy of University of Tuzla, mr. Šefko Sulejmanović, professor in Behram-begova Madrassa, Omer Delalić, general manager and owner of company Deling d.o.o. Tuzla and Mirela Musić and Selmir Ljumanović, professors from Prijedor.

The evening socializing of scholarship holders was attended by Lejla Akšamija and Nezim Halilović Muderris who talked on a very impressive way about personality of r. Alija Izetbegović, benefactor and founder of Fund ''Bošnjaci''. Lejla Akšamija very emotionally talked about her father Alija Izetbegović, while Nezim Halilović Muderris spoke about Alija Izetbegović as his supreme commander. This gathering, with appropriate speech, was magnified by Vahid ef. Fazlović mufti of Tuzla.

In the revue part of program performed the singer Selma Droce, first-year student of Master studies of the Music Academy in Sarajevo, otherwise last year's scholarship holder of the Fund with an average score of 10.00, and saz player Jusuf Brkić, a second year student of the Law Faculty in Sarajevo.

In addition to lectures, the Fund’s scholarship holders visited some of the most significant cultural and historical sites in Tuzla, Srebrenik and Gradačac.
