AWARDED LETTERS OF THANKS TO FORMER MEMBERS OF THE MANAGING AND SUPERVISING BOARDS


A joint ceremonial session of the Managing and Supervising Boards of Fund ''Bošnjaci'' was held in the cabinet lounge of Rais-ul-Ulama of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina on November 13, 2013.

The session was attended by Lejla Akšamija, Sevret Mehmedćehajić and Mehmedović Husein, the newly appointed members of the Managing Board, Elmedina Ohranović and Emin Čohadžić, current and former members of the Managing Board and Šahin Kerla, director of Fund ''Bošnjaci''. The session was attended by mr. Husein ef. Kavazović, Rais-ul-Ulama of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nezim-ef. Halilović Muderis, former director of the Waqf Directorate and others.

After opening session, Chairman of Managing Board Muharem Hasanbegović briefly informed the attendees with previous results of the Fund, which are reflected primarily in assisting in education of young students and returnees, as well as in supporting for various projects in the field of education, science etc.

Rais-ul-Ulama Kavazović proudly pointed out importance and role of Fund ''Bošnjaci'', as well as its importance due to the fact that it was founded by Alija Izetbegović. He compared the Waqf of the Fund with the Ghazi Husrev-bey’s Waqf and its involvement in education and preservation of the identity of the Bosniak people. Rais-ul-Ulama expressed appreciation to previous members of the Managing and Supervising Boards of the Fund, as well as to the signatory of the vakufnama and longtime director of Waqf Directorate Nezim-ef. Halilović Muderis.

In their presentations, dr. Ahmet Alibašić and Selim Jarkoč, former members of the Managing Board, expressed their pleasure and honor to have for many years been part of the Fund. In particular, they pointed out the contribution of director Kerla in improvement and promotion of the Fund.

Nezim-ef. Halilović expressed appreciation to all those who have contributed to the Fund. He stressed the transparent work of the Fund Director, on which in Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina should be proud.

In his brief address, Šahin Kerla, director of Fund ''Bošnjaci'', expressed gratitude to previous members of the Managing and Supervising Boards as well as to the signatory of the vakufnama Nezim-ef. Halilović Muderis.

Thanks and gifts to deserving for preservation, recognition and improvement of the work of this particularly sensitive Waqf presented Rais-ul-Ulama of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina mr. Husein ef. Kavazović.
