A NEW GENERATION OF THE FUND SCHOLARSHIP HOLDERS VISITED SOME OF CULTURAL-HISTORICAL MONUMENTS IN HERZEGOVINA


The Fund “Bošnjaci“ organized one-day visit to the cultural and historical sites in Herzegovina for a new generation of scholarship holders on May 26, 2012.

The aim of visit was introduction of our scholarship holders with cultural and historical traditions of Bosniaks in this region.

On this occasion our scholarship holders have visited some of the most important cultural and historic buildings and places such as: building Armed Forces of B&H D-0 in Konjic, Martyrdom Cemetery and the Old Bridge in Mostar, Hadži-Alijina Mosque, Clock Tower and the Castle in Počitelj and the rebuilt Tekke in Blagaj Buna.

On behalf of the scholarship holders and fund “Bošnjaci“ we use the opportunity to thank the representatives of Armed Forces of B&H, Nazif ef Garib, the Secretary of Mostar Mufti, Džemal effendi Gadara, the chief imam of MIZ-Čapljina, Hišam ef. Hafizović, imam of Careva Mosque in Blagaj and mister Selim Isić one of the organizers of the resistance and Commander of defense of Mostar and B&H, who prepared to our scholarship holders warmly welcome and introduce them about history, role and importance of these sites and facilities in this area.
