Signed contracts with one number of Fund scholarships


Having in mind the current situation regarding the Corona virus pandemic, on December 14, 2020, in the premises of the Vakuf Directorate of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in compliance with the prescribed epidemiological measures, a ceremony of signing the Scholarship Agreement for school/academic year 2020/21 was held with a number of scholarship holders residing in Sarajevo.

In order to prevent the spread of the Corona virus pandemic and to facilitate to scholarship users, especially for those residing outside Sarajevo, the Scholarship Agreement will be signed by e-mail.

Šahin Kerla, in his capacity as Director of the Fund and chairman of the Scholarship Commission, addressed the audience, stating, among other things, that 71 scholarships were awarded this year, of which 35 to first-cycle students, 20 to second-cycle students and 16 to high school pupils.

The average grade of scholarship winners for students in the first cycle of studies is 9.45 and in the second cycle 9.64, while the average grade for pupils is 4.80. Among the winners of this year's scholarships are 10 male and female students with an average grade of 10.00.

The Director especially emphasized that those who manage this Fund are fully aware of the responsibility for taking over the responsibility of the endowment and founder of the late Alija Izetbegović Fund, that this endowment is preserved, constantly improved and thus contributes to assistance in education, cultural, spiritual and traditional values of Bosniaks.

At the end of his address, he called on the scholarship holders to stay in their homeland after graduation and employment, to make it better and more prosperous, to work on the affirmation and improvement of Fund "Bošnjaci", to help it financially in accordance with their abilities, thus ensuring the continuation of this noble mission.
