SCHOLARSHIP HOLDERS OF FUND "BOŠNJACI" VISITED SOME OF THE MOST IMPORTANT CULTURAL AND HISTORICAL PLACES IN HERZEGOVINA


In order to introduce our scholars with organization of resistance during armed aggression on RB&H in the period 1992-95, as well as cultural and historical tradition of Bosniaks in Herzegovina, on June 15, 2015, Fund ''Bošnjaci'' organized a one-day visit to a number of the most significant cultural and historical sites in the region for a new generation of scholarship holders.

On this occasion, our scholars have visited: Shaheed Cemetery and 'memorial room' 'built in memory of 478 dead and missing martyrs, members of the Army of B&H and the Ministry of Interior from the municipality of Konjic, then Shaheed Cemetery and the Old Bridge in Mostar, Hadzi - Alija mosque, clock tower and fortress in Počitelj and Tekke on Buna in Blagaj.

On behalf of the scholarship holders and Fund ''Bošnjaci'' we thank to: Esad Bajić, president of the Board of the Foundation ''Lijepa riječ'' (Eng. Beautiful word) from Konjic, Mr. Selim Isić wartime commander of the 48th Mountain Brigade Mostar, Ramiz ef. Jelovac President of the Majlis IC Mostar and IC Čapljina, who have prepared a warm welcome to our scholarship students and informed them about the history, role and significance of the above sites and facilities in this area.
