PRESS RELEASE SENT TO MEDIA REGARDING BEGINNING OF WORK OF THE TRAINING CENTER IN NOVA KASABA, MUNICIPALITY MILIĆI
There has not been launched the school in Nova Kasaba, nor school teaching takes place, but it is in progress implementation of the educational program, in order to provide necessary knowledge to Bosniak returnees’ children in Konjević Polje, Nova Kasaba and other places.
Fund ”Bošnjaci” Sarajevo, as a non-governmental organization for education of Bosniaks, has organized large number of educational and other programs aimed at providing all sorts of assistance to returnees in all parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina in their activities in the past thirteen years of activity. The Fund has focused its assistance particularly in Bosansko Podrinje’s places: Srebrenica, Potočari, Zvornik, Bratunac, Konjević Polje, etc. This assistance consists of scholarships for students, equipping the school premises, donating equipment and teaching aids, organizing courses, etc.
As a part of its regular activities, the Fund has launched the educational program for elementary school’s children in Nova Kasaba, municipality Milići, in January of this year. A similar program was implemented in Potočari in the 2011th year. The educational program’s goal is providing the necessary knowledge to Bosniak returnee’ children in Konjević Polje, Nova Kasaba and nearby towns in the field of Bosnian language and literature, history, mathematics, Islamic religious studies and other disciplines.
This program in its content, to the greatest extent, follows the curricula for elementary schools in Bosnia and Herzegovina, because the Fund intention is to help children in mastering the mandatory educational content in their education. Therefore, the Fund ”Bošnjaci” didn’t start school in Nova Kasaba, nor a school teaching runs at that site, rather than an educational program for elementary school. Great help to the Fund in implementation of this program provides the Islamic community Vlasenica, which has ceded its Training Center in Nova Kasaba free of charge. A numerous volunteers have provided their services to the Fund in implementing this program.
