HONORABLE COMMEMORATION OF THE TENTH ANNIVERSARY OF DEATH OF ALIJA IZETBEGOVIĆ - THE FIRST PRESIDENT OF PRESIDENCY OF THE REPUBLIC OF BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA AND FOUNDER-BENEFACTOR OF FUND ''BOŠNJACI''


It is honorably annotated the Tenth Anniversary of death of Alija Izetbegović - The First President of Presidency of The Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and founder-benefactor of Fund ''Bošnjaci'' in organization of ''Alija Izetbegović'' Museum, on Saturday, October 19, 2013.

Numerous delegations from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina laid flowers and prayed Fatiha while representatives of MIZ Sarajevo, led by Head Imam mr. Ferid ef. Dautović, prayed and handed hatma dua for the soul of their president, at shahid's cemetery ''Kovači'' at 11.00 hours. PhD Halid Genjac, Chairman of the Main Board of SDA party, spoke about character and work of the first President of The Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina's Presidency, and the founder and first president of SDA.

In presence of a large number of believers and prayers of the Holy Qur'an led by Rais-ul-Ulama of Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina mr. Husein ef. Kavazović in Ghazi Husrev-bay’s mosque, before the noon prayer, was prayed and handed hatma dua for the soul of r. Alija Izetbegović.

Well attended, designed and organized program ended with an official Academy at the National Theatre in Sarajevo, which was preceded by an exhibition of art works created at the First International Art Colony ''My Escape to Freedom'', held in Počitelj from 8 to 14 October 2013, that was dedicated to the first President of Presidency of Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina r. Alija Izetbegović.

In addition to family members of r. Alija Izetbegović the official Academy was attended by many prominent figures from the public, political, social and cultural life of Bosnia and Herzegovina and many friendly countries.

Audience was addressed by former Croatian president Mr. Stjepan Mesić, French philosopher Bernard Henri Levi and Professor PhD Hilmo Neimarlija with a lot of respect for the character and work of r. Alija Izetbegović and with an exceptionally inspiring and emotional speech, recalling the meeting at a difficult time for both Bosnia and Herzegovina and for its people.
