REPORT OF THE MANAGING BOARD OF FUND ''BOŠNJACI'' ON APPEALS OF CANDIDATES FOR SCHOLARSHIPS IN SCHOOL/ACADEMIC 2015/16 YEAR AND NOTICE ON SIGNING OF CONTRACT

Tuesday, 2015-11-24

REPORT OF THE MANAGING BOARD OF FUND ''BOŠNJACI'' ON APPEALS OF CANDIDATES FOR SCHOLARSHIPS IN SCHOOL/ACADEMIC 2015/16 YEAR AND NOTICE ON SIGNING OF CONTRACT During the appeal deadline the Managing Board of Fund ''Bošnjaci'', from 496 candidates ranked for scholarships, received 3 (three) appeals, of which two on the scholarships for which funding is provided by Fund ''Bošnjaci'' and one for which funding is provided by Bejtuzzekat from Kuwait.

Appeals for published preliminary ranking list of candidates for the award of scholarships to students and pupils in school/academic 2015/16 year are filed by following candidates:

  1. Jusufbašić Šeherzada, student of III year of Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo. She applied for a scholarship for which funding is provided by Fund ''Bošnjaci'' and achieved 40 points. By the appeal stated that she was not properly graded according to the average income of the family. A detailed review of the documentation found that the named scored in accordance with the documentation, criteria and scoring system. The candidate initially submitted a certificate on her father’s average. Given that the competition only required pay slips for the last month, at the request of the Commission, the named submitted her father’s pay slip that differed by income compared to the earlier submitted certificate of income so that the commission determined average income per household member based on the payroll. The named, in accordance with the documentation and scoring system, achieved 40 points so that the appeal is entirely groundless.
  2. Jahić Amir, student of the VI year of the Medical Faculty of the University of Sarajevo. He applied for a scholarship for which funding is provided by the Fund ''Bošnjaci'' and achieved 34 points By the appeal stated that he was not properly graded according to the participation of his father in DL war in Bosnia, and that he did not receive points based on the status of Shahid family. A detailed inspection of the record shows that the candidate is graded in accordance with the documentation, criteria and scoring system. Specifically, the candidate got planned number of points based on the disability of a parent since the scoring is done only on the more favorable basis for candidates, so that in this case the scoring was favorable based on the disability of parents in relation to his participation in DL war in Bosnia. The Commission according to the insight into the documentation and verification by the competent authority established that there is no designated status of Shahid family. Taking into account the above facts the named, in accordance with the scoring system, achieved 40 points so that the appeal is entirely groundless.
  3. Kamberović Asmir, students of I year of the Faculty of Transport and Communication of the University of Sarajevo. He applied for a scholarship for which funding is provided by Bejtuzzakat from Kuwait and achieved 25 points. The named stated in appeal that he believes that he was not properly graded on the basis of the average earnings in the family. A detailed inspection of the record shows that the candidate is given a score according to the documentation, criteria and scoring system. The named submitted father’s pay slip for the last month and on the basis of that was determined the average income per household member. Considering that the calculation of average earnings takes whole amount of net wage which now includes the administrative ban, loans, meals, transportation, etc. the named, in accordance with the scoring system, achieved a total of 25 points so that his appeal is entirely groundless.

On the basis of the documentation and the work of the Commission, the Managing Board of Fund ''Bošnjaci'' provides the following:

CONCLUSIONS

  • The Commission, exceptionally correctly and responsibly, conducted overview, processing and    scoring of 496 applicants and determined the preliminary ranking list of candidates for scholarships strictly adhering to the competition, criteria and scoring system so that no appeal has been founded.
  • The preliminary ranking list of candidates for scholarships to pupils and students in school academic 2015/16 year become fully in force on November 24, 2015.
