CASH PRIZES AND CERTIFICATES PRESENTED TO THE WINNERS OF THE CONTEST FOR THE BEST LITERARY WORK


On Wednesday, December 23, 2015, in the premises of Museum ''Alija Izetbegović'' in Sarajevo, in presence of the media, parents and the winners, took place solemn delivery of prizes and awards to the winners of the competition for the best literary work in 2015 on the theme: You've shown us the path of pride and patience, organized on the occasion of the 90th birth anniversary of Alija Izetbegović, the first president of the independent Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the founder and benefactor of Fund "Bošnjaci".

Certificate and the first award in amount of 600,00 KM was awarded to Emina Đelilović, student of the first year of Master studies of BCS language and literature of Philosophy Faculty of University in Zenica, by Šahin Kerla, Director of Fund ''Bošnjaci''.

Certificate and the second award in amount of 400,00 KM was awarded to Hasan Hasić, student of the second year of the Faculty of Islamic Studies of University in Sarajevo, by Muharem Hasanbegović, President of Managing Board of Fund ''Bošnjaci''.

Certificate and the third award in amount of 200,00 KM was awarded to Esma Douida, student of the first year of Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Tuzla, by Nezim Halilović Muderris, member of the Commission for selection of the best literary works.
Director of Fund ''Bošnjaci'' Šahin Kerla in his address, among other things, congratulated to the winners and all those who took part in the competition, reminding on the personality and work of Alija Izetbegović, and the mission of the Fund which focuses on implementation of projects in areas of education, science and culture, as well as scholarships for particularly gifted students.

- Our obligation is to follow the will of Waqf, expressed in terms of the endowment, which Fund ''Bošnjaci'' is doing utterly transparent and accountable for fourteen years and each year achieves better and better results – he said.
Participants of the ceremony were addressed and congratulations to the winners were given by Muharem Hasanbegović President of Managing Board of the Fund, pointing out the symbolism of this contest and obligation to act for the benefit of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, its peoples and citizens. In this context he said that it is necessary to promote the breadth of the approach and true values through their own work and activities, and to not allow the closure into the narrow frames.
To the congratulations joined also Professor Sevret Mehmedčehajić, Chairman of the Commission for review and selection of the best literary works, stressing that 179 candidates registered at the competition, and that works were very interesting and in good quality. Director of Museum ''Alija Izetbegović'' Adnan Žiško also congratulated to the winners on behalf of this institution and additionally bestowed the winners.

In this appropriate program took part Droce Selma scholarship holder of Fund ''Bošnjaci'', student of the Academy of Music, University of Sarajevo with an average score of 10.00, which is in very professional manner and in touching way sung songs ''Da te nije Alija'' and ''Mojoj dragoj BiH ''.

This was an opportunity for recalling the first President of the independent Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Alija Izetbegović the founder and benefactor of the Fund who, as stated, by his life and selfless commitment witnessed the importance of active attitude towards reality, willingness to sacrifice, calm, prudence and boldness in his worldly wise path of life.

Following presentation of awards and prizes, the winner of the contest Emina Đelilović addressed participants which, among other things, emphasized that it is nice to outlive its own death, and that this competition is persuasive evidence that the late Izetbegović was able to do that.

At the end, participants visited Museum ''Alija Izetbegović', visited the Martyrs cemetery ''Kovači'' and prayed Fatiha for the soul of Alija Izetbegović and the souls of the martyrs buried in this cemetery.
